 Maputo strike does not affect travel for Rani Resorts Rani Resorts’ properties are located in the Bazaruto Archipelago (off the coast of Vilanculos - some 705km from Maputo), on the Pemba mainland (1 650km from Maputo) and in the Quirimbas Archipelago (a string of idyllic islands off the coast of Pemba). Where flights and access are concerned, from Johannesburg, both Airlink and Federal Air fly directly into Pemba and Vilanculos, respectively. LAM (Mozambique Airlines) have advised that they are continuing their flights into and out of Maputo as normal. We wish to reassure our guests and travel partners that there is no need for concern for travel to our resorts. The strike is isolated to Maputo alone and the Mozambican government has assured that they have the situation under control.
