RANI RESORTS IS CELEBRATING 4 NEW AWARDS!
15 September 2011
The combination of Rani’s signature standards of world class hospitality and their diverse tourism offerings, saw the group head the awards list for their African properties, taking home the following awards:
Leading Resort in Mozambique - Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa
This idyllic Indian Ocean island lies a short plane hop from Vilanculos, in the Bazaruto archipelago. With a large variety of activities, gourmet catering and opportunities for marine adventure, this resort has entrenched itself as a firm favourite amongst both discerning and demanding tourists, looking for both family experiences and active, private breakaways.
Indigo has received numerous awards:
Professional Beauty Awards Best Resort Spa for 2011, Tatler magazine’s 2009 Top 100 Spas in the World and has also listed by Condé Nast as one of the Top 10 Hotel Spas of the World in Africa, Middle East and Indian Ocean region.
Leading Hotel in Mozambique - Pemba Beach Hotel and Spa
This hotel fills a role as both the cultural gateway to the Quirimbas archipelago as well as a stylish, exotic and convenient conference destination for Southern, East and Central Africans. With inimitable and warm African hospitality, state of the art conferencing facilities, a variety of activities, a gym and a spa, Pemba Beach Hotel and Spa offers everything a hotel guest could need.
Leading Hotel in Zimbabwe - The Stanley and Livingstone at Victoria Falls
This private and excusive hotel, with its 16 luxurious suites, is situated on a 6 000 acre private game reserve, mere minutes away from the spectacular Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. This is the third time that its genteel service and diverse offerings, has received this World Travel Award.
Leading Resort in Africa - Matemo Island
A scattering of palm-thatched, air conditioned chalets on a private beach overlooking the dazzling blues of the Quirimbas archipelago oceans, combined with fine dining, rare solitude and the opportunity to try out a variety of land and ocean-based activities, make Matemo Island a jewel in the Rani Resorts collection.
CEO Luis Pinheiro ascribed the group’s success to several factors: “Yes, we have world class management teams in place” he said, “but there is so much more to our success. Our management is backed up by committed staff at every one of our properties who are not only dedicated to their work, but are constantly aware of the unique needs of our guests. They go all out to make every visitor’s experience, a tailored and memorable one”.
RANI RESORTS
Unashamedly indulgent and distinctively individual, Rani’s resorts and hotels are set in some of Africa's most exotic locations, each designed to make guests feel that they're exploring a world undiscovered by fellow travellers.
The group attracts discerning travellers to unique, unspoilt locations away from mainstream destinations. Socially they are deeply committed to the social and economic benefit of the communities living near to its hotels and their operations and development contribute to local environments and residents.
Each of the Rani Resorts is unique, and the portfolio of properties includes the island retreats of Indigo Bay Resort, Matemo Resort (private island), Medjumbe Private Island, Pemba Beach Hotel and Spa, Lugenda Wilderness Camp in the Niassa reserve and the Stanley and Livingstone, in Zimbabwe.
